Manny and Brett

Brett Favre
He was offered 20 Million dollars today to stay retired. And he turned it down. What is this guy's deal. I have a sneeky feeling that he'll end up playing quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings. I don't know how I'd feel about it if it happened. It's similar to Adam Banks going from the hated Hawks to the overachieving Ducks. (Here is a link to a Adam Banks Fan Club I found http://yzak.nu/fan/banks/index.php.) Brett Favre is the guy who plays you in something and then won't quit until he wins. I admire that side of him, but just the fact that he was a cheesehead really turns me off. So stay tuned to see where this goes.

Manny Ramirez
I love Manny Ramirez. In some ways he and Brett Favre are very similar. They both are one of the best to ever play their sport. They both have had their own personal failures along the way. But they both find a way to connect to the everyday fan. You either love Manny or you hate him. But I do not understand how anyone can hate a guy that doesn't take a game too seriously. And at the same time all the while not taking it too seriously he's become one of the best hitters in the history of the game. Manny has done in it all in a way that some don't agree with. I personally love the way he goes about his business. And the thing is nobody does anything about it because the guy has averaged 40 HR, 132 RBI's and a 312 Avg. throughout his career. Along with 24HR and 64 RBI in the post season. He is now playing for his third team, the dodgers. So he has another fan base to root for him, and hopefully this time the front office will appreciate this future hall of famer.

A little about me.

Let me tell you a little about me. That's the thing, there is nothing little about me. (Insert funny penis joke) I am a overweight 26 caucasion male. I was just notified that I was pig-headed. And this was from my best friend, so that tells you a little bit. I am very confident in myself. I am married, and live in a house with my wife, and 3 guys. I work at a golf course, so expect a few posts about women golfers. Sports are my passion, and I know more about sports than any of you.
I live in the suburbs of Minneapolis/St. Paul. I love the Vikings, Twins, and Wild. I bleed Maroon and Gold, and hop on the Timberwolves bandwagon whenever their good. Based on their history I've only had one ride. Besides sports I have opinions on everything. I am not afraid to discuss any subject. I love a good arguement, but I hate when people don't back up their arguements. If you can prove me wrong or change my opinion based on facts than so be it.
I am a very demanding person. At the same time I hope that most people have the same expectations of me. I have been known to have a temper, and the thing is I don't care. I am a man, and I act like one, and if you don't like it, f off. I don't have time for moody/whiny bitches.
I love to compete, and I love to win. I have never had fun losing anything in my entire life. I don't make excuses. I just want to play again, and this time let's raise the stakes.
I like things my way, because I feel like that is most often the best way.
With this blog I intend to point out the subtle things in life that need to be brought to the forefront. I like pushing buttons, and I am good at it. So feel free to chime in at anytime and let your opinion know, because I wll.

Fast Food

Why is it so god damned hard to get your order correct from a fast food place? Why do the people that work at these establishments find it so hard to do their job right? I look at these people and I think to myself what do you want to be when you're older. Because whatever it is forget about it and start thinking about something else. If you can't handle the responsibility of putting my honey mustard with my 5 piece nugget what are you prepared for?

Motorcyclists and 4 Way Stops

Why is it that whenever you come to a four way stop at the same time as a motorcycle they assume the have the right of way. It doesn't really matter in their minds who gets there first. If I had my druthers I'd stop seeing motorcycles.

MN Vikings

I tried to be as objective as I could about the Vikes, and I scoured the schedule but I could only find 3 losses. I figure they'll start out 1-1, and then they'll lose to either Tennessee or New Orleans on the road, and then they'll lose to either New Orleans or Jacksonville on the road. The Vikings are going to be just straight mean. They are going to come in and beat the shit out of teams. They'll run it right down the other teams throats.

As far as defense goes it's time to start thinking of cool nicknames for the squad. Has anyone ever held every team scoreless???

Minnesota Twins

The Minnesota Twins are heating up. I think this team is building a team that will be superior to the 2002 crew we had. If you look at the outfield, the new version of the "Soul Patrol" with Young, Gomez, and Span has a lot of upside. I think the infield will be fine too. I have no problem letting Buscher play 3rd as long as he is hitting the ball. Although having Hank Blaylock playing third batting after Morneausie would be all that bad either. The pitching staff looks like the start of good things to come. The only downside is you know we won't be able to afford Justin's contract in 4-5 years, and if Liriano comes back like he was 2 years ago, we'll only have him for a handful of years as well.
